Privacy
Izborna mapa BiH asks for no registration, shows no ads, does not track visitors and does not sell data. This page says what is processed all the same, why, for how long, and who else sees it.

In short#
- No accounts, cookies, ads or visitor tracking.
- The theme, palette and script you choose are remembered by your browser only.
- The MCP server does not record questions or answers.
- We receive personal data only if you send it yourself in a report, and only what you send.
Who runs the site#
Izborna mapa BiH, at izbori.podaci.org, is run by podaci.org, a project of UD Velvict, a sole proprietorship (Zmaja od Bosne bb, L2, 72000 Zenica, Bosnia and Herzegovina). For anything about privacy, write to [email protected].
This policy covers the pages of the site, the pictures the site draws and the MCP server at izbori.podaci.org/mcp.
Visiting a page#
Every request to the site passes through Cloudflare, which delivers the site and protects it from attacks and overload. In doing so Cloudflare processes your IP address and the technical data of the request (browser, page address, time) under its own policy, and counts the requests for the pages of the site from one IP address to limit them to 100 in 10 seconds. The site's server keeps no log of visits.
The pages set no cookies and load no scripts, fonts or map tiles from other addresses; the one exception is Cloudflare Turnstile in the report dialog. The theme, palette and script you choose are kept in your browser's local storage (localStorage: tema, paleta, pismo) and are sent to no one.
Reporting a mistake#
The dialog “Prijavi grešku” (report a mistake; also “Nije tu? Javi” next to a polling station and “javi” next to a candidacy) sends and keeps:
- the kind of report and the text you write;
- an e-mail address, if you enter one (it is optional), only so that we can answer you;
- the address of the screen you were on and what the report is about;
- how the page looked: the browser identification (user agent), window size, theme, palette, script and how the map was drawn, so that the mistake can be reproduced;
- the time of the report and the state of the vote count at that moment.
The IP address is not recorded. The server holds it in memory only, to limit reports to five in ten minutes from one address, and forgets it at most two hours after the last request.
To keep programs from sending reports, the dialog uses Cloudflare Turnstile. Its script is loaded only when you open the dialog; Cloudflare then receives from your browser the data it needs for the check, and the server sends it your IP address together with the result of the check.
The author is notified of a new report through Telegram: its kind, text, a link to the screen and the e-mail address, if you gave one. Do not put other people's personal data in a report.
Errors the site records itself#
When a page or the server runs into an error, it records it itself: the error message, the place in the code where it happened, the page address and how the page looked, as with a report. It does not record what you typed or your IP address, which here too the server holds in memory only, to limit the number of errors. The same error on the same page is one record with a counter. The author is notified of a new error through Telegram, with the error message and the page address.
The MCP server and AI assistants#
The MCP server asks for no login and does not record questions, tool arguments or answers. When a tool fails, the name of the tool and a description of the error are logged, and the description may include what the tool was asked for. Requests pass through Cloudflare, as visits to the pages do.
Your conversation with an AI assistant (Claude, ChatGPT and others) is seen and kept by the provider of that assistant, under its own terms; we do not see it. The picture an assistant shows with its answer is loaded from izbori.podaci.org.
Links you share#
When you share a link, the social network or messaging app fetches the page and its picture from the site itself. The site does not know who shared the link or who opened it.
Data about candidates#
The names of candidates, their parties, races, votes and whether they were elected are public data published by the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CIK BiH). The site shows them as CIK published them, so that the public can see and understand the results of elections.
The site itself links candidacies from different elections into one person, so namesakes can be wrongly joined or split. Report such a mistake next to the candidacy (“javi”) or to [email protected], and we will correct it.
Who else processes data#
- Cloudflare: delivery and protection of the site, Turnstile in the report dialog.
- Contabo: the server that runs the site and the database of reports.
- Telegram: notifications to the author about reports and errors.
Each of them processes data under its own policy, some of them outside Bosnia and Herzegovina.
How long it is kept#
- A report is kept as a record of mistakes and corrections. Its e-mail address is deleted when the report is closed, whether resolved or dismissed.
- A record of an error is kept as a record of errors; it holds no e-mail or IP address.
- IP addresses in the server's memory are gone at most two hours after the last request, and whenever the server restarts.
- A Telegram notification stays in the author's chat with the bot until the author deletes it.
- What your browser remembers stays until you delete it.
- Cloudflare keeps its data under its own policy.
Your rights#
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to its processing: write to [email protected]. On request we delete your report and its notification. If you believe your right to the protection of personal data has been violated, you can turn to the Personal Data Protection Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (azlp.ba).
Changes#
Changes to this policy are published on this page, with a new date at the top.
